HRH The Duke of Gloucester KG GCVO Opens Butterfield Luton

His Royal Highness The Duke of Gloucester today opened Easter Group's one million sq ft Butterfield Business and Technology Park.  It is the first major business park to open in Luton in 20 years.

The Duke of Gloucester unveiled a plaque at the Park Centre, which is the focal point of Butterfield.  The Park Centre is located in the first phase of the development, namely The Village, and comprises the administrative centre including a cafe that is open from day one, on-site management, a marketing suite and a security centre.  Easter intends to augment and complement the current park amenities by introducing a creche and other tenant-focussed facilities in the future.

Peter Taylor, Managing Director of Easter Group, said:  "We are honoured that His Royal Highness has been able to find the time in his busy schedule to open the park today.  As a qualified architect, he will understand the importance of promoting a high quality working environment.  At Butterfield we are championing an innovative and environmentally responsible design in order to create a calm, comfortable and stimulating environment which will inspire companies to work comfortably, effectively and profitably."

Easter was selected by the landowners, The Crown Estate, Butterfield Land and Luton Borough COuncil, as their development partner to develop out the site plot by plot under a 10-year agreement.
