20 March 2008 – Hilton Garden Inn, Butterfield is preparing for a historic opening this summer having unveiled its new signage and taken delivery of the United Kingdom’s first Garden Sleep System™ beds, one of the brand’s signature furnishings.
The 157-bedroom upper mid-market hotel is nearing completion onButterfieldBusinessPark and will be the first of its kind in the UK & Ireland as Hilton looks to introduce several new brands from the USA.
A team of 61 has been recruited to operate the hotel, increasing to 69 once the hotel is fully operational. All will work under the leadership of general manager Ross Mounsey.
Ross said: “Having assembled a first class team we are a short time away from opening the hotel and looking forward to welcoming our first guests in the summer.”
The Hilton Garden Inn Luton North will feature core Hilton Garden Inn brand offerings including complimentary WiFi in guestrooms and public areas, a restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as evening room service.
The lobby area lounge will have a library and fireplace, a bar with plasma screen television, plus the 24 hour Pavilion Pantry® shop offering a selection of healthy snacks, delicious ready made meals, and beverages.
As well as the custom beds, guestrooms will feature a spacious work desk with the ergonomic Herman Miller Mirra® chair, air conditioning and LCD satellite television, plus a hospitality centre with a mini refrigerator and kettle.
A variety of 10 flexible meeting spaces will cater for up to 100 delegates and include a boardroom and a meeting room with natural lighting, and on-site hotel parking.
Guests wanting to keep fit will have the choice of two complimentary options; the state of the art Fitness by Precor gym; or Hilton Garden Inn’s very own Stay Fit Kit® which can be used in guestrooms, either by itself or with the pay-per-view fitness programme.
The Hilton Garden Inn Luton North will join other Hilton Garden Inn locations in Europe that include the Hilton Garden Inn Stuttgart NeckarPark in Germany, the Hilton Garden Inn Florence Novoli and the Hilton Garden Inn Rome Airport in Italy – which opened as the brand’s 300th milestone hotel. Plans are also underway to introduce a Hilton Garden Inn at Aberdeen airport.
