Plans have been submitted for a hotel at Easter's Butterfield Business and Technology Park in Luton. Oxford GB Ltd, a joint venture between Oxford Hotel Projects and Gleeson Building Ltd, is hoping to start construction on the 145-bedroom hotel in Autumn 2006.
The hotel will appeal to business guests during the week and provide a full range of services including: high-speed internet access; meeting rooms and business centre; 24-hour service; restaurant, bar and lounge; and health and fitness facilities.
Simon Wood, Chairman of Oxford GB Ltd, says "It will be a full service upper mid market hotel employing up to 40 staff, many of whom will be recruited locally."
Mike Forster, development director at Easter Group, comments "Oxford GB Ltd will produce a very high standard of hotel build. The hotel will be a valuable asset to Butterfield, not only to the park's businesses, but also to the wider Luton area through its provision of leisure and employment opportunities."
