A "Rare Example" of Eco-Friendly Speculative Construction

Easter Group's work at Butterfield Luton has been presented as a notable exception to landlords and occupiers making little progress towards cutting their emissions.

In an article by Property Week, which covered the forum held by occupier group CoreNet, it was suggested that progress is stagnated because nobody has the responsibility for cutting carbon emissions.

Easter Plays the Green Card

Easter Group is a rare example of a developer that is constructing environmentally friendly buildings on a speculative basis.  A specialist in business and industrial parks, Easter is building seven units at its Butterfield park, on the edge of Luton, that will produce 80% less carbon than standard buildings...'We felt there was an opportunity to move to the next level in environmental terms,' says Easter development director Mike Forster.
