Infrastructure Enhancements

Works to widen the M1 between Junctions 6A and 10, a 10-mile section of road stretching from the M25 through to Luton, are due to complete in 2008.

The East Luton Corridor (South) is due to be open in early 2008. It will provide a new access spur into London Luton Airport by improving the road from Junction 10a of the M1.

In 2008, work is due to start on Translink, a 7.5-mile guided bus way that will reduce journey times throughout the local area.
